Florian Zeller also did a stage play of the same name in 2018 and also served as a prequel to “The Father” in 2020. Hugh Jackman, Laura Dern, Vanessa Kirby, Zane McGrath, Hugh Quareshy, and Anthony Hopkins are among the prominent characters in the film.
The story film revolves around Nicholas, a seventeen-year-old boy. whose parents get divorced. And after some years he realizes that he cannot live with his mother Kate. He goes back to his father Peter. Peter’s partner also sits with him. Peter tries to raise Nicholas as well as his father did him.
The film had its world premiere at the 79th Venice International Film Festival on September 7, 2022. And it was released theatrically on November 25, 2022, in New York City and Los Angeles for a limited period of one week. And a US-wide release was still underway. Which was to be released on January 20, 2023, by Sony Pictures. The film received mixed reviews from fans, with fans praising Jackman and Hopkins while criticizing the screenplay, direction, and McGraw-Key’s pacing.
Story
