Asha Parekh Biography

Asha Parekh is an Indian Bollywood actress. He played his role in many Hindi films. Asha Parekh was born on October 2, 1942, in India. They are producers, directors, and actresses by profession. She did not keep his Hindi film career long. These are the highest-paid actresses of their time. His greatest success was in the 1960s and 1970s. She has also won awards like Padma Shri, Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award, and Kalakar Awards. Asha is considered one of the influential personalities. She is from Gujarati. His mother took him to classical dance class as a child.

Asha Parekh Career

Asha Parekh started her career in 1952. Her mother enrolled her in classical dance classes at an early age. She learned classical dance from many teachers. Asha started his career at a young age of about 10 years. She started his career as Baby Asha Parekh’s Child Actress. Asha starred in the first film of his career, Ma’a. She was about 10 years old at the time. Asha Parekh was dancing on a stage when Bimal Roy loved her dance. And cast him in the movie Ma’a at the age of 10. The film was directed by Bimal Roy and written by Nabendu Ghosh and Paul Mahendra. In this movie, Asha Parekh played the role of a child . After which her acting was very much liked. And this year she also did another movie which was called Aasmaan.

And then Bimal Roy cast Asha Parekh in another of his films called Baap Beti. It was produced by Gopi Rohra. Since then, many of his upcoming films have failed. She courageously responded although he played the role of a child in many films. But that was the end of his career. Then, sometime later, at the age of 16, he resumed his career. Asha Parekh was later refused cast by Vijay Bhatt in the film Goonj Uthi Shehnai. Later that year, Nasir Hussain cast him in his next film, Dil Deke Dekho. In which he played the opposite role of Shammi Kapoor. After which the film became a huge success. Asha Parekh’s performance was much appreciated. Due to this success, Nasir Hussain was cast in almost 6 of his films which were very successful. Teesri Manzil, Baharon Ke Sapne, Pyar Ka Mausam, Caravan, Manzil Manzil.

Nasir Hussain had cast him in almost 21 films, which was a super hit of his career. Over time, she began to play the role of sister-in-law and mother. She also said that this is the strangest moment of my life. As a result, she was not happy with her performance and quit working in films. On which his friends asked him to go to the television. Which was accepted by Asha Parekh and starred in the first television Gujarati Serial Jyoti in 1990. After which he started making his own drama serial which includes Akruti, Palash ke Phool, and Baaje Payal. And there are many more whose list is given below. She was also the president of the Cine Artists’ Association after all. And here he served as President from 1994 to 2000. She just a year after becoming president, she quit acting in television and movies.
And this Parikh was the first woman chairperson of the Central Board of Film Certification of India. And Asha Parekh held the post from 1998 to 2001. For which he was not paid. Then they also faced conflicts. She faced a lot of controversy due to the censorship of films and the non-clearance of Shekhar Kapoor’s Elizabeth. She was later made treasurer of the Cinema and Television Artists Association. After which he was also given many awards, the list of which is given below.
