Salem’s Lot is a 1975 horror novel written by Stephen King, an American author. The main character in this novel is a man named Ben Mears. He returns to the area where he lived 5 to 9 years ago. He comes here to know his servants who are turning into vampires so that he can fight them and save the world. The novel was nominated for a World Fantasy Award in 1976. The novel was also awarded the Best Fantasy Novel Award in 1987. The cover artist for Salem’s Lot is Dave Christensen. Salem’s Lot book was published on October 17, 1975. The publisher of this book is Doubleday. The book was published in American English. Stephen King had two interviews about this book which was first taken in 1980. In which he said that these are most favorite books.
The second interview was in 1983. In which he said Salem’s Lot book is his favorite. But they have already started The Dark Tower which does not need any more sequels. He then told Patrolman magazine in 1987 that this was one of his favorite stories. The main reason for this is that it points to small towns. And dedicated this book to the king’s daughter Naomi.

The book Salem’s Lot is about an author named Ben Mears who spends most of his childhood in Jerusalem. When he turns 25, he tries to write his next novel. And a few days later she befriends her teacher Matt Burke. And her romantic relationship with Susan Norton is established. Now Ben Mears has to start writing his book so he comes back to his hometown “the Lot”. Where he is amazed to see all this because he sees the hanging heads and dead bodies of dead human beings. It is learned that Marsten’s former home was bought by Kurt Barlow. Kurt Barlow goes on a shopping trip. Barlow is an ancient vampire while Richard Straker is familiar with it. In which only Richard Straker can be seen in public. The reason for their arrival coincides with the disappearance of Ralphie Glick and the death of Danny.
This is why Barlow becomes the first vampire and later he makes two more vampires with himself. Which includes Dud Rogers, Corey Bryant. And Danny on the other hand is also going to turn people into vampires. People like Danny are changing rapidly. In which too many people turn into vampires. But one day Danny finds a classmate named Mark Petrie. Danny fails to turn him (Mark Petrie) into a vampire. On the other hand, a team is being formed to fight these vampires. Ben and Susan join the team. The team includes Ben, Susan, Matt, and his doctor, Jimmy Cody, Mark, and local priest and Father Callahan. Susan catches the vampire Barlow and eventually, the drug is applied to her heart.
